Laser hair removal is a safe procedure, but it does require some before and after care. Our next series of articles will cover some skin care recommendations to consider.
Make Changes Six Weeks Before You Plan to Begin Treatment
Avoid all waxing and plucking since this is done at the hair root. If you want to shave, you can do so up to 48 hours before your hair removal laser treatment. Stop using any hair bleaching products on the area being treated. Also, please advise us of any medications you are taking as we may ask you to pause them before your hair removal laser treatment.
Avoid Exposing Your Skin to Anything
If you have a sunburn, you may not be able to begin hair removal laser treatment. Try to avoid the sun for at least two weeks prior. When you arrive to your appointment, make sure the area being treated is free from any make-up, lotions, ointment’s, or anything containing chemicals.
Our next article will cover more skin care tips to follow after your hair removal laser treatment.
